9yrs -18yrs Independent Cross Country Carnival was held on Friday 7th May 2010 at Elizabeth Daniels Park.

Congratulations to all schools on a wonderful day of racing. The Primary event was won by St. Andrew's Anglican College, with Matthew Flinders in 2nd and Sunshine Coast Grammar in 3rd. The standard of running in all ages was incredible. Best wishes to the Independent team of 30 runners who will compete at the Regional carnival.

The Secondary event was won by Matthew Flinders with Sunshine Coast Grammar in 2nd and St. Andrew's in 3rd. It was wonderful to see so many State and National runners at the event. Best wishes to all students at the Regional at State event in 2010. Thank you to Sunshine Coast Grammar for their wonderful organisation of the event.

Primary Regional Cross Country 2010

Congratulations to the Independent District Cross Country team who competed at the Primary Regional carnival date on Wednesday 9th June at Elizabeth Daniels Park. The team were outstanding with Tiamee Massie (10 girls), Grace Kaihau (11 girls), Brodie Modini (12 boys) and Lilli Burdon (12 girls)  all winning their age divisions. They will be joined at the State Championships by Angus Luhrs, Riley Modini, Jessica Wade and Clare Nixon. The Independent team won the overall trophy for the 4th year in a row. Congratulations

Primary Independent Cross Country Carnival report 2009

This event was held on Friday 8 May at Maroochydore Cricket Grounds under a typical mix of dry / muddy / wet patches throughout the course. With ten schools competing the day was set to be exciting. Throughout each event the competitors ran their best with some saving a sprint for the finish banner, which was kindly donated for the day from USM events. The top five performers were presented with many photo opportunities taken and at the end of the morning the winning school - St Andrews Anglican College, announced as overall and percentage winners. They narrowly defeated Matthew Flinders Anglican College with Sunshine Coast Grammar rounding out the top three places.

From the SCISSA Carnival, a Primary team (10 years to 12 years)  was selected to compete as the Independent team at the Sunshine Coast Primary Regional Carnival on Wednesday 27th May to be held at Elizabeth Daniels Park, Maroochydore.

The Independent team won the overall trophy for best performing district at the Sunshine Coast Regional Primary Cross Country Carnival. Congratulations to all Independent District runners.
