Swimming within the ten Sunshine Coast Independent schools is becoming very prestigious with the schools containing many high level State and National swimmers. It is a credit to the Independent schools and clubs on the coast that the Sunshine Coast is fast becoming recognised as a nurturer of swimming talent for Australia. Our SCISSA carnivals are held mid February each year.

Primary Independent Carnival 2011

Primary SwimmingCongratulations to all schools on a wonderful 2011 Independent District Primary Carnival on Feb 22nd at Noosa Aquatic Centre. The wet and wild weather conditions in the morning fortunately calmed after a couple of hours and we witnessed some outstanding performances. Congratulations to St. Andrew's Anglican College who won the overall trophy for the 3rd year in a row with Matthew Flinders Anglican College in a very close 2nd and Sunshine Coast Grammar School in 3rd. Well done to Caloundra City Private School who retained the Percentage trophy for 2011. Best wishes to the Independent swim team who compete at the Regional carnival on March 4th. Thank you to all staff, parents and swimmers for contributing to a great day. See you in 2012.

Primary SwimmingCongratulations to the Independent District team who competed at the Regional Carnival on Friday 4th March at Caboolture Aquatic Centre. There were some outstanding performances with many swimmers from the Independent District gaining selection in the Sunshine Coast Regional team to compete at the State Swimming Championships at the end of March. The Independent district won the carnival overall for the 5th year in a row and we also won the Percentage trophy. Congratulations to Max Osborne (11 years , St. Andrew's), Sarah Johnson (12 years, St. Andrew's) and Joseph Herbert (12 years, Suncoast Christian) who were recognised as Sunshine Coast Age Champions for 2011. Congratulations on a great day to all schools. Congratulations to St. Andrew's Anglican College who are Champions for 2010, Matthew Flinders Anglican College in 2nd and Sunshine Coast Grammar in 3rd. Well done to Caloundra City School won the percentage trophy

Primary Independent Carnival 2009

Primary SwimmingCongratulations to all schools on 2 great Swimming Carnivals. Congratulations to St. Andrew's Anglican College who won the Primary SCISSA carnival. Matthew Flinders placed 2nd and Sunshine Coast Grammar were third. Pacific Lutheran College won the percentage trophy. The Independent team then went on to win the Regional Championship.
